With the objective of teaching and research on Insect Taxonomy, Ecology, different methods of insect pest management to increase the crop production at national level by producing competent agriculture graduates with sound knowledge on insect pest managment. The departmental courses are expanded to the fields of insect pest management, insect pathology, insect ecology, insect biotechnology, chemical ecology, industrial entomology, insect taxonomy, stored products entomology.
