THE COMPANY

Bengal Overseas Ltd. is a private limited company established in the year 1977 as an export house for non-traditional products like handicrafts and vegetable to Middle East Countries.

Since 1985 the management started representing reputed multinational Companies in marketing their products in Bangladesh. The Company’s present exclusive representations are mentioned at the end of this brochure.

The major range of products we handle includes Pharmaceutical finished products, Animal health care products, Feed Additives, Nutritional Products, Day old parent chicks, Pharma active raw materials, Car paints, Protective coatings, Industrial chemicals and equipments , Plant and machineries etc.

The Head Office of the Company is located in Dhaka with 7 numbers of regional office/depots located at Dhaka, Chittagong, Comilla, Bogra, Khulna, Barisal and Sylhet. The distribution network is carried out in the rest of the Country through 400 appointed stockists / dealers located in important cities and towns.

The Company has 80 full time efficient and dedicated employees on its pay roll, who believe in teamwork to materialize the objectives set by the management.

SUBSIDIARY COMPANY

The company has established manufacturing facilities in the name of “Bengal Remedies Ltd.” The factory is located in the Tongi Industrial area, near Dhaka, is designed and constructed to manufacture veterinary and pharma products. There is also scope of expansion of the factory as the adjacent land also belongs to Bengal Remedies Ltd. The Company has started marketing operation from 2016 with 42 products which includes injectable, tablets, liquid and powder forms. This company employs about 200 staff.

ANNUAL TURNOVER

The annual business turnover of the Company in 2017 was Tk. 1500 millions equivalent to US$. 18.75 millions.

ANIMAL HEALTH CARE DIVISION (INTERVET / now MSD)

We are the exclusive distributor of Intervet International b.v., The Netherlands, now a subsidiary of MSD Animal Health, USA, in Bangladesh for marketing their Veterinary Products in Bangladesh for the last three decades.

We have professional team of management for sales and marketing in Intervet / MSD Division which includes 40 persons out of which 10 persons are senior veterinarians.

Branch Offices:

Our seven branch office / depots are located in Dhaka, Chittagong , Comilla, Bogra, Khulna and Barisal and Sylhet.

AKZO NOBEL bv. COATING DIVISION:

We are the exclusive distributor of AKZO NOBEL bv. The Netherlands for marketing their Car Refinishes and coating products in Bangladesh which includes SIKKENS and LESONAL and International brands. We also market protective Coating and industrial Coating products of AKZO NOBEL. This division is managed by professional team of 25 persons who were trained in home and abroad.

INTERNATIONAL TRADE DIVISION:

We represent several Asian and European Companies in marketing their products through indents to third parties. Those includes Pharma active raw materials, Chemical, Equipments, Industrial chemicals, Day old parent chicks, packing materials and several other items.

We are also registered supplier / indentor with Director General Defense Purchase (DGDP) in catering various requirements of Bangladesh Army, Navy, and Air forces.
